About Suryaveer

Maharaj Suryaveer Singh Rathore was born in 1972 to Maharaj Swaroop Singh and Rani Usha Devi. He is the great-grandson of His Highness Sardar Singh, Maharaja of Jodhpur.

When Suryaveer was about nine years old, Maharaj Swaroop Singh converted Ajit Bhawan, the family residence, into a heritage hotel.

It was a pioneering idea that resulted in a transformative tourist experience in Rajasthan and continues to shape the heritage experience in the region.

Suryaveer Singh Rathore, hailing from a lineage that’s strongly deep rooted in Rajasthan’s cultural fabric and ethos, embarked on a trailblazing journey in the realm of hospitality.

Suryaveer Singh Rathore’s integration of a modernistic approach to hospitality, with a deep connection to the land and its heritage, has made generative milestones for the Ajit Group and made it a mark of excellence in the region and far beyond.

His journey began when he joined his father in managing Ajit Bhawan, after completing his education at Mayo College and graduating from the ITC Group run hotel management college in Manipal in 1992.

He then returned to his hometown of Jodhpur, to assist his father in managing Ajit Bhawan.

Today, Ajit Bhawan elevates the region’s allure for tourists seeking a blend of history, luxury, and authenticity.

Suryaveer Singh Rathore has ventured into diverse business interests and domains, establishing Khaas Bagh, a distinctive blend of a boutique hotel and a vintage automobile museum.
Complementing this, On The Rocks, stands out as Jodhpur’s first standalone multicuisine restaurant.

With a dynamic total of 10 different ambiences between these properties, Suryaveer aims to provide a wide array and spectrum of hospitality experiences under these two roofs, showcasing his foresight for versatile offerings.

Suryaveer’s commitment to preserving classic heritage while infusing it with modern amenities became synonymous with the Ajit Group brand.

On a personal note, Maharaj Suryaveer is married to Rani Uttara Kumari, the daughter of Raja Chandra Vijay Singh of Sahaspur, Uttar Pradesh.

Their family includes two dynamic children: Samarvir Singh Rathore and Hanut Singh Rathore.

This blend of professional success and familial connections adds layers to Suryaveer’s intriguing persona.
