Along with his mother and brother, Suryaveer owns and runs the Ajit Group of Hotels.
The Ajit Group are pioneers in the heritage hotel space, with Maharaj Swaroop Singh, Suryaveer’s father, having established Ajit Bhawan more than four decades ago. Suryaveer leads day-to-day operations at Ajit Bhawan.
Rawla Narlai is another stunning boutique property of the Ajit Bhawan Group. The 17th century country manor, with its shaded courtyards and atmospheric views, sits in the shadow of a granite monolith in the village of Narlai.
In 2021, Suryaveer and his wife Uttara launched Khaas Bagh.
At Khaas Bagh, a giant courtyard is flanked on two sides by a vintage automobile collection. The menu at Khaas Bagh is an ode to Suryaveer’s love for Raj-era automobiles.
Khaas Bagh offers a space for every occasion: enjoy Rajasthani delicacies in the Al Fresco Courtyard, feel the breeze while dining on the rooftop at KakaBaba’s, have a quiet drink at the Phantom Bar or host an intimate gathering in The Vintage Room.
Venturing into the culinary scene in the mid-1990s, Suryaveer founded On The Rocks, Jodhpur’s first standalone restaurant and bar.
This establishment has evolved into a local and visitor favorite, offering five distinctive ambiences—The Neem Tree Court, The Redstone Café, Rocktails, Nasha Bar, and Machan—allowing patrons to choose an atmosphere that suits their mood and the weather.
